Dr Maria Montessori’s work was ahead of her time and is indeed timeless. And here, now, you have a window into the official teachings of Montessori among the 0-3 world.

This course not only provides an introduction to the life and work of this incredible woman, its honours her legacy and extends upon her work in unique ways.

The #BestStartCourse builds upon many important elements from AMI’s 2-year ‘Assistance to Infancy’ diploma course, alongside my own 7 years of practice and active research as a stay-at-home father, and a toddler class I continue to host weekly.

I have then condensed all my study, experience and creativity into the most essential overview of 0-3 parenting and child development.

I have worked professionally with children in various capacities since the age of 17. From a Nursery School Teachers' Assistant to Carer for Disabled Children, from an inner-city DJ Tutor, to a UK Primary School Teacher and finally on to become Lead Educator at Peace One Day[.org], project managing with the likes of UNICEF.

Yet it never dawned upon me how little I knew about the importance of early-years human development, and the full impact of early-years parenting, until my third-born child... almost two decades later.

Alongside her birth, I began studying for a 0-3 Montessori diploma and everything changed. Not only did I evolve our home to be a more accessible, stimulating environment, I fully realised my defining role within the environment, and that I had a great deal of work to do… on myself!

Even with a rich background of professional training and experience in child care and education - I realised that my own parenting had often been ‘innocently clumsy’, and on occasion, even abusive. It got me thinking...

If my own ability can be hampered by a lack of fundamental understanding around something so important, what might be the case with other parents? especially first-time parents... or, adults who may be less natural around children... as well as the majority of us that unconsciously project our insecurities, personal traumas, or parents' outdated programming.

I wanted to help. I set out to condense all my studies, reflections and creativity into ONE ALL-ENCOMPASSING FRAMEWORK. Combining all my professional experience, study and parental practice, I worked to create a foundation course - building upon the timeliness principles and practices of the Montessori Method - that would serve parents as an easy, one-stop solution in aiding their infant's *Founding Human Potential.

I wanted to build something that anyone can easily access in a single day, and walk away armed with a clear understanding of the broad '0-3 picture', as well as the most important pieces of the puzzle.
